My view of Pure Carolina is shaped by an appreciation for its natural beauty and a recognition of its engineering potential. Spanning 800 acres, this property encompasses a mountain top valley, streams, a trout lake, and expanses of rolling land, offering much more than aesthetic appeal. As the CEO of Davis & Floyd, I regard this land as an engineer's canvas, complete with a watershed that ensures a reliable water supply for numerous homesites.

My journey in place-making has always been guided by the belief that we have an obligation to steward this special place, a gift from the good Lord. This philosophy steers our approach at Pure Carolina, where our efforts meet today's needs while honoring the land for future generations. Together with my fellow talented and skilled founder/owners, we are committed to nurturing a community where nature and modern living harmoniously intertwine. Pure Carolina is our canvas, and on it, we're painting a future that is green, sustainable, and vibrant.

After over 50 years serving at the highest levels of Government on the National Security of the country, I decided to return to the region of my birthplace as my final resting place. I was privileged to serve all over the world in 30 years in the Navy and the three highlight tours include Intelligence Director for the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Director of the National Security Agency and Director of US National Intelligence. Having focused on current and future threats to the country for 50 years, it is time to retire to a place that is safe, resilient, incredibly beautiful and pleasant with like minded people we can enjoy in retirement. Pure Carolina is up out of the summer heat due to elevation, south facing for mild winters, has plenty of rainfall and has incredible vistas of the Blue Ridge Mountains; truly a place to cherish.
